I had a teleconference with my Lyme team three months ago. On October 19th, I drew my blood. What exciting thing showed up this time? Well, after being tested for Rocky Mountain spotted fever, SEVEN TIMES, I now have 3 of 4 tests that are positive. When I drew my blood in July I had one RMSF test that finally showed up positive. This is what my test looked like this time. Five times the top one was negative and six times, the bottom two were negative.
Last Wednesday, though...wow. I could sit here in my chair and feel my temperature fluctuating wildly. Up and down. Up and down. The highest it got to was 99.4 which is my 101. I know...you're thinking, "that's not really a fever," but it is when you run 97.0 normally. I was trying to tough it out, but I couldn't get past the pain of my headache, so I finally had to take something, which brings me to another thing. My headaches are back. I used to get them often for years, coincidentally (or not) after my tick bite. They're so bad I should really go to the ER, but because they're that bad, I don't want to move or tough out the ride in the car there. It feels like someone took a gun or hammer to the back of my neck at the base of my skull. Usually, the pain awakens me around 0200 or 0300 out of nowhere. I mentioned that and was given a couple of supplement options. I went with this one. I'm hoping it will do the trick.
